Something that makes me happy: Ugly Bowling Shoes. |
Mike and Sarah showed up a little after we got settled in our lane. The guy who gave us our bowling shoes didn't know the details of what was included in the night and said a waitress would be over to help us. The waitress got our drink order and came back with our drinks and what we would owe for the night. It was a lot more then what a staff member told Sarah it would be when she reserved the lane. We were mislead and didn't feel good about it. After we (mostly Dan and Mike- thanks guys!) talked with one manager and didn't feel heard, the first manager called over a second very animated manager.
While the guys were talking with the managers, Sarah and I talked about whether or not we wanted to stay. We didn't want to be somewhere that made us feel negative. After about an hour, the guys and the managers came to a deal. We decided to stay and consciously made a choice to have a good night. We would be happy on New Year's Eve and have a good time.
I think my high score of the night was 48. I was happy when my ball didn't find it's way directly into the gutter. |
I think I passed part one of the universe's test- although all night long our waitress either forgot to bring us our drinks or brought us the wrong ones, we had a fun night. We laughed. We chatted. We listened to music that was popular circa 2007. We got to be with people we love. Most importantly: we bowled our hearts out.
Happy 2014!
